ROADWAY Records:

A variety of artists and Genre's that are are comprised of formally signed, unsigned, almost signed and a selection of their original music recordings offered in home grown and sometimes professional demo recording format to record company A&R individuals.   Song selections have been picked from these various artist that were submitted and rejected by The A&R staffs of record companies.  The truth is that a demo of any number of songs would be passed on if there wasn't an indication that the artist had or could come up with 10 hit songs, even if one or two or more of their songs were really good (thus these songs would be lost forever..  The music we've compiled on ROADWAY records for listening has been picked by us from over 1000 song demos submitted from 1970 through current.  Ever heard of Rags Baker (he was on Capital records), Angel Michaels (she was signed to Island records), Ziltch Fletcher  (he had a album of Holloween songs that would curl your hair), Larry Hosford (he was signed to Shelter records and WarnerBros. records) or Grover Pruitt Jr. (never signed, a groove blues man with a Chicago R&B tribal influence) and many other compilations.  These recordings give one the insight of the human condition of the artist that almost made it, or never came close in the late 60's and 70's, not because they were not valid, but because the suits of the industry didn't get it.  They had tried, to sometime no avail and can now be heard.
